Tania & Marnus
December 2016

Tania and Marnus got married at Bahri Wedding Venue.

I knew very early on with Marnus’s passion for cars that his request for a special VW with split windscreen was going to happen, but I had no idea that what he had in mind was so spectacular! This VW became the backdrop for the photo booth photo’s and we even did a picnic basket to compliment the scene.

Tania’s love of hydrangeas was the inspiration for the use of so many hydrangeas in all different forms – down the aisle, as confetti, in the bouquets, in the greenery rings hanging on the Chapel doors, as well as in the reception flower arrangements. Pastel colours abounded.

Tania and Marnus – your VW inspired me to find this poem for you guys. Much love, Sam

“We embark on a new journey,
Let our travels never end,
Keep up heading in the same direction,
Though the track may sometimes bend.
Let happiness be our destination,
Let our trademark be a smile,
Let us enjoy each footstep,
Not begrudge a single mile,
Let us revel in new discoveries,
Greet each fresh dawn with pleasure,
Let us find our inner wealth, and know…..
The true meaning of treasure.”

Nicolette – Sunwa
December 2016

Nicolette came to me months ago to start discussing her wedding and over the months we had plenty of time to plan for her special day. One thing was always very clear – orange and lime green were her colours and her bouquet had to have lilies….. and that’s what she got!

All the best to you guys for the future, Sam

Shantelle & Neil
October 2016

Shantelle was a Bride in a million who chose a very hands-on approach to everything about her wedding. She chose Montague Vale for her special day and as she had a definite idea of what succulents she wanted for her bouquet, we searched high-and–low to help her get exactly what she wanted!

It wasn’t without a good laugh when she was already in the carriage being escorted to the wedding service by the groomsmen that she realized that she had forgotten her veil somewhere in the Bridal Suite…… Florist to the rescue – biggest challenge was to find the veil……… but once that had been located, it was left to me to attach it for her in the carriage (much to the horror of most)…… J

Huge shout-out must go to Angelique – you are a rock and an anchor. Well done!

Shantelle and Neil – I shall never forget your wedding – thanks for the good humour and laughs. Much love, Sam

Zenta & Jaco
September 2016

Zenta and Jaco chose a banqueting-style for their wedding tables. BAHRI was the perfect venue for their rustic, country wedding with all the beautiful stonework. All the flowers were green and white except for her bouquet which was bright hues of blue and a touch of purple.

”To the world you might be one person….
But to me you are the world.”

Zenta and Jaco – many congratulations on your wedding, with love Sam x

Mia & Jacques
September 2016

What a beautifully soft and romantic green-and-white colour-scheme with twinkling fairy lights to complete the picture at the Nutcracker Country Retreat and Wedding Venue.

Mia and Jacques – what a super couple you are! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day.

“From this day forward,
You shall not walk alone.
My heart will be
You shelter,
And my arms will be your home.”

Niki & Lorin
August 2016

What a pleasure it was to start the new season with such a super couple – Niki and Lorin at Pont de Val.

Peach and Cream were their colours and they had a full-length flower runner for their main table.

Niki & Lorin – may your drives always be on the fairway. Be prepared to chip out of a few bunkers along the way, and may your putts be short and straight!! Remember to always keep your heads down and ‘drive through’ 🙂
Much love, Sam x

June 2016

Emma and Alistair got married at The Nutcracker on a beautiful sunny winter’s day. Emma chose rich burgundy and gold as her wedding colours and the she and the Bridesmaids looked great all with their flower crowns of strong colours and textures.

“Live every moment,
Laugh every day,
Love beyond words”

Emma and Alistair – this is my wish for you both! May you both enjoy married life to its fullest!!

Debbie & Johan
April 2016

“Love doesn’t delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
1 Corinthians 13:6-7

The Nutcracker were hosts to Debbie & Johan’s special day. The colour scheme was the super-awesome colour of coral, and Debbie put so much effort into the planning of everything which was evident in all the little details.

Debbie & Johan – you have so much love for each other and it showed in all aspects of your wedding and wedding planning! I am so delighted for you both. With love, Sam

Natasha & Arno
April 2016

“Return to old watering holes for more than water; friends and dreams are there to meet you”
African Proverb

Natasha& Arno did just that in April when they returned from abroad to celebrate their union amongst friends and family.

Woodlands Country Lodge were the hosts for this special occasion and provided the ideal venue for the couple’s “white” wedding, which was a pinch of “rustic” and spoonful’s of elegance.

To Natasha and Arno – may you both take back with you many happy memories of your “wedding in Africa”, kind regards, Sam
