Melissa & Chris
December 2017

Melissa and Chris’s wedding at The Nutcracker Country Estate had a “bunny” theme and there were rabbits in all different shapes and sizes all over the reception. The flowers mirrored the rustic theme with gnarled pieces of wood featuring an array of succulents of every shape colour and description.
Congrats guys!!

Free State Flower Festival, V.I.P. Dinner
November 2017

Free State Flower Festival 2017 saw the V.I.P. Dinner at Woodlands once again. And again – “up-style” flowers but this time – with a “Carnival” Theme and a celebration of Shwe-shwe fabric in cerise pink, burned orange and bright yellow.

Melandri & Andre
October 2017

I feel so touched to have such wonderful couple cross my life path. Melandri and Andre were one such couple!

They got married at Poplars Estate Wedding Venue and had a U-shaped banqueting-style table for their seating plan; with a flower runners running the full length and breadth. Melandri’s colour-scheme of navy and yellow with a hint of burgundy was as bright and vivacious as her personality!

Melandri – thank you for all you taught me personally over the last few months about social media. It was a privilege to have met you both and worked with you.
Much love, Sam xx

Kelly & Francois
October 2017

Kelly and Francois tied the knot at Montague Vale, Parys. It was a lovely country wedding with bold punchy purples and black and a few hints of gold for ‘pop’.
Thank you Kelly and Francois for the fun we had in planning and prepping and congratulations – you are such a super couple – it was great working with you!
With love, Sam

Genna and Simon got married at The Nutcracker Country Retreat and chose to have the only colour in their wedding flowers in the Chapel. The reception flowers were all white roses.

Much love to you both, Sam

Sarah & Luke
August 2017

To put words to try and describe my relationship with this special couple would just not do it justice. Sarah  and Luke – thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I adored helping you with your wine-themed wedding!

This couple have a love of all things fine, including wine, which is why The Nutcracker was adorned with all things “wine” this particular weekend – from the colour scheme of deep red/ burgundy to the table numbers made out of corks to the groom and groomsmen corsages which were made in corks, to the wine barrels that were brought in for this special occasion, to the candle sticks – just to name a few things – it was all about W-I-N-E.

Sarah and Luke  – thank you for the privilege! I have no doubt that these stunning photographs from Light Burst Photography will forever bring back such happy memories of a wedding filled with much love! I raise my glass and toast to a very special couple who touched my heart in so many ways. Salute xx
